
Norbert Gobor is a Hungarian composer with numerous credits on networks such as MTV, MTV2, VH1, Travel Channel, Discovery ID, Food Network, Animal Planet, and CNBC. His work includes music for the MTV series Fear Factor, the TLC series Little People, Big World, the Travel Channel series Ghost Bait, the Food Network series Buddy vs. Duff, the Animal Planet series Amanda to the Rescue, the Discovery ID series Reasonable Doubt, and CNBC’s American Greed.
Norbert has composed music for over 10 short films in his career, scoring his first short film at the age of 18 in 2012. Since 2016, he has been working as a composer and sound engineer at his own company, Northlane Studio.
In 2014–2015, he produced, composed, and played keyboards for his band Symphonic Destiny. He released his first EP in 2015. A versatile musician, Norbert is currently involved in various projects, including composing film music under his own name, creating and distributing royalty-free music through Northern Compass Production, and serving as composer, producer, and keyboardist for the symphonic metal band Dream Map.
Norbert’s passion for music began at an early age. He started playing the piano at the age of 8 and continued studying music theory and piano in elementary school, which sparked his love for composing. By the age of 14, he had begun sound engineering and composing as a multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, synth, guitar, bass, and drums. After elementary school, he studied music theory at Lányi Ernő Music High School, completed an online sound engineering course through SAE Oxford in 2014, and pursued music production studies at Coursera’s Berklee College of Music Online Courses from 2014 to 2015.
Over the years, Norbert has contributed to many music projects. He has worked on film music since 2012 and on various other music projects since 2014. For one of his current projects, Dream Map, he released an album in 2021.
